Valorant S-tier Agents

Raze

Raze can deal a great amount of damage with just her abilities.

Raze is undoubtedly one of the best Agents in Valorant, especially when it comes to Duelists. While Raze dominates Valorant’s maps that have plenty of choke points like Bind, Split, and Icebox, the Agent has emerged as a strong pick on all the maps.

Raze features aggressive abilities to quickly take control of an area. She comes equipped with a Boom Bot for gathering info or clearing close corners, and a Paint Shells grenade, which can deal a ton of damage to multiple enemies and also recharges with every two kills.

However, Raze’s ability to quickly move in the air using her Blast Packs allows the Agent to quickly close the gap between her and the enemies while creating an ample amount of space for her team to follow.

Reyna

One of the many Agents who benefited from the 8.08 update was Reyna, not because she received buffs, but due to the nerfs to Cypher and Viper. Now Reyna is more free to infiltrate, fight 1v1 battles, and make entries so her team can win the site.

The use of Leer to blind all enemies and Dismiss to become invulnerable for a few seconds makes Reyna a great option for Duelist. In addition, she can be nearly unstoppable if she’s consistently getting or participating in kills, especially with her ultimate Empress.

Clove

On small maps like Bind and Split, the new Valorant Agent Clove have proven to be very useful. However, it’s not recommended to choose them on maps with long rotations like Ascent, Icebox, or Sunset.

Their Controller nature allows Clove to keep enemies at bay thanks to Meddle and Ruse. However, many compositions see Clove as a secondary Duelist to take advantage of the other two abilities, Pick-Me-Up and Not Dead Yet.

Jett

Despite several nerfs to Jett’s abilities, especially the dash, the Agent dominates Valorant ranked matches. Her unique mobility abilities allow her to quickly charge onto an area or Updraft onto an elevated platform. Besides this, Jett can also use her Cloudburst smokes to quickly cut off vision, albeit for a short time.

So, if you’re looking to make aggressive plays, Jett is one of the best Agents in Valorant to do so.

Fade

While two good maps for Fade, Fracture, and Pearl, have been removed from the current map pool in Valorant, this Initiator Agent remains a popular pick. Fade’s Signature Ability Haunt scans and reveals enemies in an area and her Prowler can gather intel, much like a Skye’s Trailblazer.

Keep in mind that all of Fade’s abilities apply a debuff to the enemies and her Nightfall Ultimate applies a Terror Trail along with a Deafen and Decay to all the enemies affected.

Valorant A-tier Agents

Omen

Best Agents in Valorant ranked: Episode 8 Act 3 tier list - Charlie INTEL (2)Riot Games

Omen is one of the easiest Agents to start playing in Valorant.

Omen has received several buffs and nerfs this season. However, Omen is a great Controller choice as his utility kit contains rechargeable smokes, allowing you to use up to 5 smokes in a single round.

Additionally, he can use his ultimate to teleport anywhere on the entire map, along with the Paranoia to drastically reduce enemies’ vision for a few seconds.

Chamber

At the time of his release, Chamber was the most popular pick and possibly the best Agent in Valorant in both ranked and professional play. However, Riot have introduced many nerfs to the Agent as part of balance changes since then.

The French Agent is still a great choice for players looking to output more damage as a Sentinel. Chamber comes equipped with the ability to teleport, place a Trademark trap to hold off pushes, and a Headhunter heavy pistol, much like a Sheriff. However, Chamber’s most powerful ability is his ultimate, which equips him with a custom Sniper Rifle.

Phoenix

Phoenix is one of the easiest Agents to master in Valorant. If you or your team use the British Duelist, you’ll have abilities that can help you during site entry like Curveball, clearing corners with Hot Hands, or creating a wall with Blaze to plant or defuse the spike without enemies seeing through.

Lastly, the ultimate Run It Back will give you a second chance, but remember to be well-positioned before casting it because if you get caught reviving, you’ll be in serious trouble.

Valorant B-tier Agents

Cypher

Cypher is a solid choice for the Sentinel role in matches.

Part of the original pool of Agents at the time of Valorant’s launch, Cypher is a Sentinel that can hold sites on his own. Equipped with Trapwires, Cyber Cages, and a Spycam, Cypher can easily stop enemies from pushing or flanking.

Following his massive buff in patch 7.09, Cypher continues emerging as one of the best Sentinels in Valorant. Agents like Skye and Fade will find it difficult to break Cypher’s traps using their abilities and his traps also re-arm and apply debuffs for a longer period.

If you use Cypher’s traps paired with the cages, you can get one or two kills every round on unsuspecting enemies with ease.

Gekko

As Valorant’s latest Initiator, Gekko has a unique ability kit that allows you to plant or defuse using Wingman. Additionally, he can blind enemies with Dizzy and damage all enemies standing in his Mosh Pit grenade.

After patch 7.12, you can reclaim Gekko’s abilities (ball) in just one second. While this buff by itself is quite massive, his Dizzy shoots are significantly faster as well, giving enemies very little time to react and dodge.

Gekko’s pick rate has gone up slightly following these buffs, however, he’s still not the best Initiator pick in Valorant.

Breach

Breach is an aggressive Initiator, who can help take control of areas with his flashes and stuns. On top of this, Breach’s Rolling Thunder Ultimate sends a wave of quake which stuns and dazes all players affected by it.

Keep in mind that all of Breach’s abilities can interact with your teammates as well. It is important to use this Agent’s utility kit with proper communication and awareness of your teammates’ positions.

Harbor

Harbor has become a niche pick in Valorant for maps like Haven and Breeze. The Agent comes equipped with abilities that deny line of sight to the enemies while allowing your team to aggress or take control.

However, Harbor’s Reckoning Ultimate is one of the biggest AOE abilities in the game, allowing you to swiftly take control of an area.

Sova

Sova has remained a consistent pick since Valorant’s launch in 2020. This Initiator Agent equips you with a Recon Bolt that scans and reveals enemies in an area. Sova is an incredible pick for players who can put in the time to learn his Recon and Shock Bolt lineups to help provide a ton of info and space for their teammates.

While Fade and Skye are often picked over Sova on certain maps, there’s no denying that Sova dominates on Ascent, and has become a must-pick on the map due to the wall bang spots.

Valorant C-tier Agents

Valorant’s C-tier Agents, Viper, Sage, KAY/O, and Killjoy, are picks that work in certain situations, albeit you need to be good with these Agents’ utility kits to perform well. While some of these Agents have received multiple nerfs, some have been underwhelming ever since their release.

The most surprising inclusion in this tier is Viper. The Controller received significant nerfs to her abilities in the 8.08 update, which caused other Controllers like Clove and Omen to gain much popularity.

Valorant D-tier Agents

Best Agents in Valorant ranked: Episode 8 Act 3 tier list - Charlie INTEL (5)Riot Games

Skye, Brimstone, and Neon remain as the worst Agents in the game. The current options in their respective roles of Support, Controller, and Duelist are stronger and better suited to almost any situation and map. To see these Agents back in the most popular tiers, we’ll have to wait for new patches from Riot.

Who is the strongest Agent in Valorant?

Jett and Reyna are the strongest Agents in Valorant for solo queue, however, Clove, Fade, and Raze prove their worth by providing a ton of support to their team.

Who is the easiest Agent to play in Valorant?

Omen, Phoenix, and Reyna are some of the easiest Agents to play in Valorant. While Omen can smoke all parts of the map from his position, Phoenix and Reyna are beginner-friendly thanks to their self-healing abilities, allowing you to survive longer and get multiple kills.

That concludes our Valorant Agent tier list. For more FPS content on Riot’s biggest shooter, make sure to check out some of our Valorant guides:
