Career
Robin Quivers started her career in the medical field in 1974 after graduating from the University of Maryland School of Nursing.
Her first job was at the Maryland Shock Trauma Facility of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System.
However, Quivers wasn’t content to hold one of the lowest-paying jobs in America and soon joined the United States Air Force.
With the Air Force, Quivers became a second lieutenant and began duty at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas in 1976.
After serving for six months, she was promoted to first lieutenant and by June 1978 she earned the rank of captain.
A Career In Radio
Robin Quivers left the United States Air Force in 1978 and returned to Baltimore the following year to work in a hospital.

This became a reality when she landed her first job in broadcasting as a newscaster at WIOO in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Shortly after, she moved to WCMB near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania before moving back to Baltimore to join WFBR as a consumer reporter.
Along with reporting at WFBR, Quivers also read newscasts alongside disc jockey Johnny Walker during the morning show.

Quivers continued to work with Stern after he moved the show to WNBC in New York in 1982, though Stern was fired in 1985 for obscenity.
Fortunately, the show was quickly picked up by another New York station, WXRK FM, and from 1990 to 1992 WOR-TV aired videos of his show.
These videos were later picked up by the E! Cable network in 1995, and in 2005 On Demand TV began airing Stern’s radio show.
Throughout all of these changes, Robin Quivers has remained with his show and her distinct laugh has become a trademark of the show.
She may not be as well known as the richest TV hosts in the world, but Quivers has undoubtedly left her mark on the history of radio.
Quiver’s Other Projects

Favorite Quotes from Robin Quivers
“It’s sad that women characters have lost so much ground in popular movies. Didn’t ‘Thelma and Louise’ prove that women want to see women doing things on film? Thelma and Louise were in a classic car; they were being chased by cops; they shot up a truck – and women loved it.” – Robin Quivers
“Over the years, people have often said to us that they were going through some horrible thing in their life – may be the worst thing that had ever happened, or that they could think would ever happen – and that, somehow, in that state, we made them laugh. And I was like, ‘That’s a wonderful calling.” – Robin Quivers
“There’s no operation where you can have your anger cut out. But if you work on yourself, as you get better, you’ll be more capable of seeing others as flawed human beings. That makes it easier to forgive.” – Robin Quivers
“I’m nutty for nutrition. I’ve become one of those people who can’t stop talking about the connection between food and health. Now that I know how much changing what you eat can transform your life, I can’t stop proselytizing.” – Robin Quivers
“I keep wondering how to explain the experience of child abuse from the inside. The thing you have to remember is that this was the thinking of a child.” – Robin Quivers
“So the point is, I don’t have a right to tell anybody what’s right or wrong about their lives. Who am I to tell you at any given moment of the day what would be right for you?
