Free Agent Fits for the Ravens in 2024 (2024)

RB Saquon Barkley, Giants

The No. 2-overall pick in 2018, Barkley is one of the most talented all-around backs in the league and still just 27 years old. Injuries have hampered his career thus far, and he averaged just 3.9 yards per carry last season.

RB Derrick Henry, Titans

Henry is now 30 years old but hasn't slowed down. Last season, "King Henry" logged his fifth 1,000-yard season of the last six years and once again was a monster after initial contact, ranking eighth in the league.

RB Josh Jacobs, Raiders

Jacobs led the league with 1,653 rushing yards in 2022. He's also a threat as a receiver. However, he averaged just 3.5 yards per carry last year and ran for half as many yards and touchdowns.

RB Tony Pollard, Cowboys

Pollard got the franchise tag last offseason but didn't have the monster season many expected in replacing Ezekiel Elliott as the Cowboys' featured back. He's a well-rounded back, however, who has been an efficient runner over his young career.

RB Austin Ekeler, Chargers

A workhorse running back, particularly as a pass catcher, for the past several seasons, Ekeler's production dropped off last year as he deal with an ankle injury. His yards per carry went from 4.5 to 3.5.

RB D'Andre Swift, Eagles

After being acquired in a trade with Detroit, Swift stepped up in his debut as a lead back, topping 1,000 rushing yards in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old back averaged 4.6 yards per carry and was a threat as a receiver too.

RB Gus Edwards, Ravens

Edwards has been a reliable hammer in the Ravens backfield for several years, but last season was the first time in his career he dropped below 5.0 yards per carry (4.1).

RB J.K. Dobbins, Ravens

Dobbins has the talent to be one of the top backs in the league, but a major knee injury and now a torn Achilles have sidelined him. Dobbins is running again and is determined to make another comeback and stay on the field.

RB A.J. Dillon, Packers

Dillons is a bulldozer in the Edwards mold, standing in at nearly 250 pounds. He averaged a career-low 3.4 yards per carry last season, however.

RB Devin Singletary, Texans

Singletary took over as the Texans' lead back midway through last season and boosted their previously stagnant rushing attack. He's been a shifty and consistent back over his young career.

RB Zach Moss, Colts

Moss stepped up as the Colts' lead back while Jonathan Taylor was out due to injury and was at one point among the league's leading rushers. He hung 122 rushing yards on Baltimore last season.

RB Jerrick McKinnon, Chiefs

McKinnon has not been a lead back during his career and has dealt with a variety of injuries. But he's flashed his pop at times, particularly as a receiver. He had 56 catches for 512 yards and nine receiving touchdowns in 2022.

EDGE Danielle Hunter, Vikings

Hunter is a four-time Pro Bowler who had the fifth-most sacks in the league last season (16.5). He's been among the league leaders in four of the past five years. He's going to get a massive payday.

EDGE Jonathan Greenard, Texans

Greenard led the Texans with 12.5 sacks last season opposite first-round pick Will Anderson Jr. He's still just 26 years old and has 23 sacks on his resume.

EDGE Bryce Huff, Jets

Huff was a pass-rush specialist for the Jets who did that job at a high level. He had a very high 23.1% pass rush win rate, per Pro Football Focus, and a career-high 10 sacks last season.

EDGE Chase Young, 49ers

The No. 2-overall pick in 2020 looks the part and has the tools of a premier edge rusher but injuries have limited him to just 16.5 sacks in his first five seasons. He was finally healthy last year and posted his best campaign with a 15.5% pass rush win rate and 7.5 sacks.

EDGE Za'Darius Smith, Browns

The former Raven was one of the Browns' big free-agent investments last offseason but didn't pan out as imagined working opposite Myles Garrett. Smith had just 5.5 sacks after hitting double digits his three previous healthy seasons.

EDGE Josh Uche, Patriots

Another pass rush specialist with major burst, Uche went from 11.5 sacks in 2022 to 3.0 last year. He still had a 16.4% pass rush win rate, however.

EDGE Leonard Floyd, Bills

The 31-year-old veteran still posted 10.5 sacks last season and has 39.5 over his past four seasons. Floyd has also worked with Ravens Outside Linebackers Coach Chuck Smith.

EDGE Dorance Armstrong, Cowboys

Armstrong isn't a household name among the Cowboys' stars, but he's posted 16 sacks over the past two seasons.

EDGE Shaquil Barrett, Buccaneers

Barrett had a monster 2019 season with 19.5 sacks but has hit double digits once since. Injuries have been part of the reason why he's posted 7.5 sacks the past two seasons. Barrett is a Baltimore native and another free agent who has worked with Chuck Smith.

EDGE Emmanuel Ogbah, Dolphins

Ogbah has been a consistent defender for years. He had back-to-back nine-sack seasons in Miami in 2020 and 2021. The 30-year-old hasn't been a starter either of the past two seasons.

EDGE Jadeveon Clowney, Ravens

Clowney had a resurgent 2023 campaign in which he was one of the league's most efficient rushers. He recorded his highest pressure rate and pass-rush win rate (14.2%) last season and will look for a pay raise.

EDGE Kyle Van Noy, Ravens

Van Noy logged a career-high nine sacks last season despite being signed several weeks into the season off his couch. The 32-year-old veteran proved he has much more left in the tank.

EDGE Denico Autry, Titans

The 33-year-old rusher is still getting the job done. He's had 28.5 sacks over the past three seasons, including a career-high 11.5 last year, and plays with physicality.

EDGE Andrew Van Ginkel, Dolphins

Van Ginkel had a very high 15.5% pass-rush win rate last season and one of his greatest strengths may be his versatility, as he can also play inside some and is adept at dropping into coverage. He finished last season on injured reserve, however, after suffering a foot injury in the regular-season finale.

EDGE Carl Lawson, Jets

Lawson was a productive player for the Bengals and a big get for the Jets before the 2021 season, but he suffered a torn Achilles before his first year in New York. He returned with seven sacks in 2022, but only suited up for six games last season as a healthy scratch.

EDGE Derek Barnett, Texans

After seven seasons with the Eagles, Barnett went to Houston last season and logged 2.5 sacks.

EDGE Marcus Davenport, Vikings

A former first-round pick with tons of athletic potential, Davenport flashed during the 2021 season with nine sacks. He suffered a high ankle sprain midway through the year, however, and was moved to injured reserve.

EDGE Dante Fowler Jr., Cowboys

A former No. 3-overall pick, Fowler has flashed at times over his career but has just one double-digit sack season on his career resume. He had 10 sacks over the past two seasons in Dallas.

EDGE Yannick Ngakoue, Bears

Ngakoue has been on six different teams the past five seasons, including a brief stint in Baltimore during the 2020 season. He logged a career-low 4.0 sacks the Bears last year.

EDGE Bud Dupree, Falcons

The former Steeler had a bit of a resurgent season in Atlanta last year, registering 6.5 sacks. His best year was in 2019 in black and gold, when he dropped the quarterback 11.5 times. He's now 31 years old.

DE Romeo Okwara, Lions

More of a big-bodied defensive end than a pass rusher, Okwara has been a dependable piece of the Lions' defensive line rotation for the past six years.

DE A.J. Epenesa, Bills

Epenesa is also more in the defensive end mold, but he has turned it on the past couple years with 6.5 sacks in each season. His pass rush win rate was just 10.6% last year, but he's a physical edge setter.

OG Michael Onwenu, Patriots

Onwenu has been the Patriots' top blocker the past two seasons but didn't get the franchise tag. He worked at right tackle and guard last season.

OG Robert Hunt, Dolphins

The 6-foot-6 blocker is best for zone concepts and will likely be highly valued after spending four years as a starter, first at right tackle and then at right guard.

OG Dalton Risner, Vikings

Risner signed a one-year deal a few weeks into last season and again proved to be a solid blocker, particularly in pass protection. Now he'll likely get a multi-year contract.

OG Kevin Zeitler, Ravens

Zeitler was a tremendous signing for the Ravens in 2021, stepping in as a dependable high-level blocker and leader who went to his first Pro Bowl this year. Baltimore did not sign him to a re-worked deal before the void years from his last contract hit, however.

OG John Simpson, Ravens

Simpson stepped into Ben Powers' spot and started every game for the Ravens at left guard last season, landing some devastating blows on defenders. Now he'll have a chance to find a lucrative longer-team deal.

OG/OT Andrus Peat, Saints

The Saints made Peat the 13^th-overall pick in 2015 and he's been a starter for them ever since. Peat started at tackle but found a home at guard, where he went to three Pro Bowls. He wasn't slated to be a starter last year, but ultimately replaced first-round pick Trevor Penning as the starting left tackle for the final 11 games and played well.

OG Ezra Cleveland, Jaguars

Cleveland, who was traded to the Jaguars at last year's deadline, has been a strong run blocker for years, mostly in zone scheme. He had the third-highest PFF grade among all guards last season and could get a sizeable deal.

OG Damien Lewis, Seahawks

Lewis has played both guard spots and is a mauler at 332 pounds.

OG Jon Runyan, Packers

Son of Jon Runyan Sr. the younger Runyan has been a good pass protector who has started all but one game over the past three seasons in Green Bay, playing both guard spots.

OG Cody Whitehair, Bears

The Bears released Whitehair last month. A 2016 second-round pick, Whitehair made 118 starts over eight seasons in Chicago.

OG Jonah Jackson, Lions

A power blocker, especially in the run game, Jackson has had more troubles in pass protection but only gave up two sacks last season, per PFF.

OG Graham Glasgow, Lions

Glasgow was another key piece on the Lions' strong offensive line last season, and is a handful as a pull blocker in the run game.
